There's a single 18mi main loop and with half an hour to go racers switch to a short loop. Major boredom!

24hours without swearing? Think of it as a test of endurance
-
• #7809
Oh, there will be swearing. The trick will be to do it out of earshot of anyone who can issue penalties.

Does anyone have an old medium TT frame or 53-54cm road frame with reasonably short HT that they would like to sell me for cheaps?
Trying to build a dedicated, budget TT setup for 2015 season so I can sort my position out and stop doing TT's on my road bike. Also - if anyone has any base bars or 10spd sram shifters, that would also be useful.

I have a full set of these aero bars I've been meaning to sell if you want

(Not those actual ones... I pulled the picture from google, but the same) -

Look good - are they easy enough to adjust?
Come to think of it - shifters can be sram or shimano. Must be 10 spd though

How tall are you and what stack/reach do you have on road bikes?
Looks like a hell of a reach on those bars!Looking at the stack and reach I think it would probably be too big but TT bike sizing and fit is a mystery to me.

Cheers dicki.
Gonna be a dark start which is interesting. Not much chance to see road unless I ride it today but that would cut into my pancake eating time.

Rules are up for the 24hr Worlds.. there's some 'interesting' stuff in there.
Mass start, with everyone having to be separated by 12miles or penalties issued (2mi, incrementing).
There's a 15mph/24kph speed limit on the start/finish line!!!
There's a 10mph/16kph speed limit in the pit area and there's no on-course support so all handups have to happen in the pit area!
So, I'm trying to work out the best way of doing this - I was only going to run a single 500ml bottle for weight/aero but now it looks like bigger bottles and perhaps using a bento box for bars/gels might make more sense. Means I don't get my crew (the missus) yelling at me every lap. Anyone got any brilliant ideas?
And slowing down for the start/finish every lap? Meh
