So what are the legal implications of this? We've discussed this fleeing from the scene crap before in this thread. As far as I can remember it was concluded that from the viewpoint of the driver it is always the best idea to flee.
It is, it's best to flee and sober up, than to be caught drink driving, lesser charge.
