It is time to part with an old friend. I commuted regularly on this bike for nearly two years but it has lain unused for over a year now.
It is based on a Ridgeback aluminium frame with Trek (I believe) forks and a Deore hydraulic disc brake. It was fitted with a new system Ex rear hub, chain and sprocket, and 28mm Nimbus Armadilo tyres 4 months before I stopped using it.
I have just taken it out for old times sake and the front brake is a bit soft and noisey. It probably just wants a clean but I will include a new set of pads. The rotor is showing signs of its age o you might want to replace it for a more sensibly sized one.
It does have a few scars, most notably the top of the brake reservoir after I managed to flip it over - on the way to the pub, believe it or not.
