Couldn't pop along last night as the baby was grouchy and wouldn't sleep so had to stay and help the missus. Pretty much the same reason I can't ride in the league this year too! Shame the cafe isn't open in the evenings - I'll have to grab a takeaway beforehand when I pop along to watch.

If the bar is closed can you take your own beer in? #EssentialInformation

I raced and really enjoyed it. The racing was good and hard but the (A) riders seemed to have the right attitude for a track league with no silly risk taking and plenty of banter between races. Not too many disc wheels either and good tunes too. Bring on next week!

I'm racing tonight. I am excite.

Yep I can't wait. What number rider are you so I can say hello. I don't think we have actually met?
-
• #133
Good luck to you both, are you racing under LFGSS ?

T058, I'm in the C1 group tonight. Which group are you in? Be good to have a possible ally if the racing is tougher than expected.
-
• #135
I entered as LFGSS, but I'm disappointed by lack of kit so will be wearing my NLTCBMBC gang colours until then.

I am T045 but racing in group 2. I am getting my excuses in early, I have a bad cold which is really pissing me off but I have been looking forward to it so much there is no way I am missing it :)
I am Rollapaluza but don't have a short sleeved top so just racing in a standard summer top -

Yeah, I've been trying to shake off a cold too. Hopefully it's cleared up enough to be competitive. See you later.

So what's the deal here? Can you just turn up and watch? First time out on the boards booked for Tuesday...
-
• #139
I think it's £2 entry to watch the racing. £1 for concessions.

If it's the same as Monday, we just wandered in for free...

Crappy quality as I can't upload in HD without wifi for some reason. -
• #142
I don't mind either way, will go armed with my debit card just in case. Thanks both!
-
• #143
You could always enter as LFGSSNLTCBMBC. This would be very kind to the people having to process the results. :)

Some good racing tonight. I came 6th and 8th in two of the races and God knows where in the points race. Not bad for my first track league meet. Looking forward to the next one!

• #146
I reckon so. Now I need to maintain that position and hopefully they won't move me to the A's.
-
• #147
Well that was fun!

I think getting through stage 3 is the toughest so you should be ok in stage 4. You'll probably do changes in pairs, stacking and a new drill which requires you to snake through a single, well spaced, string of riders starting from the back. Oh, and sprinting for the line looking ahead!
I wandered over to watch for a bit, saw three elimination races (a/b/c groups) - would have stayed longer but the bar was shut and miss hammer was tired.
