How did you end up behind Wickes in Gravesend? I know this town isn't great but we've got nicer places to stop for a beer than that!

I know this town well, that's not a place I'd like to hang around at for long though.

Nice ride guys. Could have done without that trek from Rochester to Gravesend and definitely could have done without the last few hills to my house! Still, got home at 6:30 ahead of schedule.

Next time we will skip Dartford altogether and just stay down by the river.
It looks like we could have ridden another few hundred meters down that dual carriage way then scrabbled up the embankment to nice quiet roads.

i know that route, can get us along there past the area with the gangsters houses and all he kneecapping that was going on

we seemed to pass every single shooting range, clay pigeon shoot and kneecapping that was happening in kent on sunday ... very lead, much DUCK !

Yeah reminded me of 7 years in Stockwell.

Anyone got a gpx of the route you did? Never been out that way and likes a quiet route.

I will put the route up next year or the next, it isn't ready.

Need to refine how we get through the Dartford area and I am not happy with it yet.

Ride down the Greenway out east, cross at Woolwich, follow the river on the south side.
After you hit Gravesend jump on the Medway Canal, pretty simple after that.
