The overall GI is reduced. The sugars still digest in the same amount of time. The fat just will take so long to be broken down that it won't provide any energy during the ride.
That's not my understanding. Fat slows down or reduces the ability of the stomach to shuffle the carbs out.
Are we talking about defecation or the availability of the nutrients?
