Ha, in 1983 I bought the same ghetto blaster as in one of those photos. And I still have it.

One of those photos where you want to know every minute detail that's captured.
Dogs, girl, cars, boom box, the houses and the people in the background.

“I know it’s hackneyed and it sounds cliched, but I would rather see a flawed ambitious photograph with two or three things wrong with it than yet another chocolate box photograph of a lion sat there in nice light. If you’re going to do something with your camera, do it boldly.”

Here's a really similar one; sort-of a different angle -
“If your seeing is good, your pictures should be good, even if they are slightly overexposed or out of focus. If they are lively or pertinent, and worth seeing, that is what matters. Only weak pictures need perfection. Strong ones can survive considerable faults.”

David VestalI'm pretty much a fan of getting some stuff "right", and I think one should strive to do this,
on the other hand it makes pictures pretty "stiff" if you eliminate all the wrongs and fix all the things.
Balance, as always, I guess..
