I've let Mon know about these drinks too as she complained about missing out on CX but then admitted not looking on forum. SILLY.

This is my local waystop on the dog walking route. Though I'm DQ'ed for penisage, do feel free to come over and pet the attention whore cavapoo puppy if we're there. #notgroominghonest

Not sure if I'll still make it, K has been sick since Sunday so if he's not better I can't leave him to look after k. Fingers crossed he makes a recovery tonight!
What time will people be getting there?
-
• #383
fingers crossed he recovers!
I'll be finished in Islington by 5:30 so definitely will be there early ..
-
• #384
I'll be heading home to pick up Nicola first and then we'll cycle over so probably be there by half 6ish.
-
• #385
I can't come but can someone take photos of the cavapoo puppy please?
-
• #386
K ... k.

Well, he won't be able to make it tonight, but here's a photo with eyes that say, 'Daddy, where did balls go? You give them back, yes? Daddy?'
Much castrate. So guilt.

What's the locking situation at the pub? I read up there bike pile but do we need to bring all the lockz?
-
• #390
Oh gawd, and the cone of shame too! How do you get anything done with those pleading eyes staring at you?! Poor de-bollocked pup. Hopefully he'll be able to drop by for our xmas drinks.
-
• #391
I'll be along at 6/6.30 I reckon. Not sure how long I'll stay if we're sat outside as I've stupidly not brought any useful clothes and it is certainly brisk out there today.
-
• #392
same, probably between 6/6:30. see you later!
-
• #393
Awesome! Yep, it's freezing, I'm hoping for heaters..
@lucyh Track standing lessons!
-
• #394
What is this talk of sitting outside? Inside fools! It's going to be 8degrees.
Just sit/lock somewhere you can see bikes if overly fretful innit.

this can be arranged! technically i trackstand US/non velodrome standard by preference (forever awkward leg dominance) but can teach you how to do it both ways. if you're mostly only going to be doing it on the road it really doesn't matter
-
• #396
really doesn't matter
*realises there may be a sudden influx of corrective forum responses on this from people who spend more time on the forum than they do working *
-
• #397
^lol!
what is the standard? right foot forward? I want to learn to be an ambidextrous track-stander/ skidder =P
-
• #398
ya!
idk how to embed video so bear with me while i try and illustrate:
http://www.youtube.com/embed/-D4UKEa7B8A
track cyclists sit static up the camber of the velodrome (right foot forward) - but as i said, if you're using it to avoid unclipping at lights rather than a sprint tactic, it ain't no thang to do whatever feels most comfortable for you
ambidextrous trackstanding is easier than ambidextrous skidding, for me at least - once you build up your core strength enough trackstanding on either side is fairly straightforward though you might have a preference. just depends how hard you push yourself to stay ambidextrous in the learning phase!
-
• #399
yup.. definitely easier to trackstand 'uphill'. not really in learning phase anymore unfortunately.. will just have to restart learning !

I'll be there around 6. Managed to forget Brompton this morning so on foot. Found out I had broken the internet when I got to work so may be a little late - hopefully not tho.
Looking forward to cheesy chips and BMX planning!
Turns out I'm supposed to be giving a careers talk to a bunch of fresh-faced PhD students that evening, but it's supposed to be over by 6:30, so hopefully I'll still make it.
