Teams get 72 hours. Solos get 84 hours (3.5 days) which is within the range of those who do long Audaxes (albeit a bit faster).
The idea of requiring team vehicles rather than self-sufficiency (no hotels allowed) is a pain in the arse though.
To be honest, given what Iceland is like, team vehicles are the only real way to do it. There are stretches of hundreds of miles with literally nothing. I don't think much can really prepare you for how desolate the place is.
