These high beat rate guys - can you still see the seconds hand move in discrete steps?

Honestly, it's too smooth to discern. I've not seen a Swiss or comparative Japanese movement run as smoothly as the vintage GS Hi-Beat.

I assume the 36000 means 10 beats per second? (i.e. 36,000 in an hour?)

But, is it as smooth as butter ?

Really pleased with it and creation watches were excellent, two days from Singapore to Landan. Currently have it on a Jubilee bracelet but trying to switch it to a black NATO, having trouble with getting a spring bar out, any tips?
Knew I recognised this. Someone I'm working with was sporting one today....How do you find the height?

I see it and immediately want to weigh stuff.

Correct. When you put it to your ear it sounds like a mini machine-gun.

Yup we both got good taste ;)
Tried the Junghans on, on Saturday. It's mint but sits quite high on the wrist. The Meisterr kalendar is totes dreamy aswell

The Piaget 38mm Altiplano 900P had to take an entirely new approach to construction in order to achieve its amazing 3.65mm profile. Most significantly, the case is directly integrated into the movement instead of there being a discrete movement placed inside a separate case. The back of the case also serves as the baseplate for the movement. Additionally, the bridges make up most of the dial, with the actual "dial" sitting in the top left, flush with the rest of the bridges to cut down on height.

Nah. Functional beauty and cracking engineering. I prefer their simpler watches though:
Would own.

I've no doubt the engineering is top-notch, the overall design leaves a lot to be desired tho'... IMHO, obvs...
