The way I see it is: if you are good at building wheels and take pride in what you do, I don't see why you should charge half of what the market is... if you are not, then no matter how little you charge, it will always be too much.
That is my view of course... I am sure there are plenty of people around who are happy to destroy a trade which is just starting to pick up again to save a few quid

If you can afford to charge half of what the market charges, you are clearly not playing by the rules... if you know what I mean.
