That it was bang up to date 20 years ago.

isn't it 1/8'' chain on 3/32'' ring ? Or is it some sort of custom made pro-only limited edition 1/8'' chainring ?
-
• #140
Most likely a full 3/32 setup. Easier on the legs

Lol wut?

Meh. What I've always been told by endurance people at the track - 3/32 more supple, easier on the legs, no weaker etc etc. I still run tractor chains though.

• #143
Just seen its a super toughness. Do they even make that in 3/32?

i thought on the best way of pisstake, but due to lack of imagination and creativeness failed to do so, so i'm just gonna mention this fact. maybe someone with better sense of humour than mine will success better than i did.
no but seriously, is there any dura ace bolt pattern chainrings with 1/8'' pitch, considering having it on a tarck biek against sg75 or nomnoms

Compared to track disciplines like the sprint - the peak wattage of TheHour is somewhere 1/5 - and acceleration wise 1/50. You could run The Hour with your grandmas silver necklace as chain.

Wonder how many will squeeze in an attempt before he smashes it?
Good time line of past attempts here http://www.cyclingweekly.co.uk/hour-record-timeline-recent-history. Didn't know the first ever record was set on a penny farthing in 1876... over 26km!
Has this been resolved yet?
edit: was hoping for some cycling to watch tonight... apparently not...
