I have the non-cadence branded carbon version. The clamp is fine. The bolts are shit and don't like being tightened up to the required torque though.

The idea behind it is pretty simple. The smaller face plate shares the load out more evenly across the clamping area of the bars.

Seems like a stooopid design.

Not worth the hassle if you're going to change bars all the time, but fine if you're happy with the bar/stem combo.

Or if you want your stem more #thiefproof

When the superlogic came out, I was tempted to get it for my track bike, but even if I don't change bars all the time this issue (not for all I assume) kinda held me from buying it...

Usually thieves never spend time unscrewing clamp bolts (4 of them!!), they are happy to take your stem even if they don't like it :)

3t, deda and countless other companies make stems and posts lighter and cheaper than thomson, less boring too but meh. We'll always see identikit.>

The bolt on that cadence remind of the puny fuckers used by extralite, where the recommended manufac rating ≠ bar staying still.

tightened to recommended torque and the bars slipped, but the bolts are too flimsy to cope with being tightened enough to keep the bars still. I think she tried using carbon paste before ditching it. Other guy I know with one just hated how awkward it was to tighten. I think its searching for a solution to a problem that doesn't exist.

But then I ride a Cinelli with Thomson bits, so cant comment on the slave value of awkward bolt positioning ;-)

Did have decals, got them from a french ebay seller. I liked them but they were peeling a bit, so got removed.
