Triton are selling the old Charge Maxi for £800, about as cheap as you'll get new and complete

Was overpriced in the first place.

I got this from a moderator at ukfatbikes, PM me if you are trying to get registered
James
I deal with memberships here. Without knowing their usernames (email addresses help too), I can't say whether they've been approved and have been sent activation emails or not. When did they apply?
With a username like umop3pisdn that would have been zapped by me when manually scanning a list of applications that got past our spam filters. It shouts spambot! He'll have to try again - I'll look out for it.
Cheers

currently my partner has a salsa mukluk, and i am considering porting most of the parts over to a fatty frame with carbon forks as a christmas present.
how much weight difference would there be between the mukluk frame and fork vs a fatty and carbon fork?
are the details on the carbon fork on top or below the lacquer?
re the frame, what size seatpost does it take? i would be interested in upgrading her to a dropper seatpost.

have upgraded my fatbike with a specialized command dropper post today. installation seemed pretty straightforward. will get to use it this week at Coed y Brenin.
upgrades for t'other half's bike will be CK headset, Thomson carbon riser bars, on one fatty carbon forks and a sparkly respray probably at armourtex

Silly question perhaps, but are hydraulics ok in serious sub zero temperatures like -35?
-

State is doing fatbikes in their new offroad range.
Looks like steel tubing, disc brakes, singlespeed.
I want one! -

I'd guess that cable discs are more prone to freezing (well the cable freezing, rather than the brake itself)

I Dot oil will deal With sub zero temps better than mineral oil. Which is why I use it. -15C is about as Cold as it gets near me though. I have to travel inland quite a bit for it to drop below that. I would Guess -35C would be OK. But I'm not massively keen on finding out.
Mineral oil has been reported to cause issues at low temps. Cant remember exactly what temps though.
They're taking an awfully long time to approve my account.
