reupholstery/recovering bike saddles

After a quick look around I couldn't find a thread really dedicated to this so here goes:

I was wondering about reupholstering my saddle. The colour is slightly off, its worn and I'm really gunning for a perforated one.

I'm not really looking for instructions for how to do it, there are plenty of in depth ones on the internet, but more looking for any examples of saddles that have been reupholstered, what went well and what didn't.

Also kind of looking to see where people got their fabric from and to see if anyone has anythey don't need (if that's allowed).

I mean for instance where does one buy some vinyl fabric other than from eBay. What kind of shops sell that kind of thing.

You can buy scraps of real leather from a leather merchant, or go to a fabric shop and ask about vinyl.
