Pelizzoli

Seat clamp is included with the frame, size is 31.8mm. I put a Campagnolo Record TTC headset.

Technically only if ulooking is not Caucasian ;-)

Does anyone know, when assembling the bike do I need to mill the headsettube?
Or does Pelizzoli make this?

I have browsed the web for reviews about Pelizzoli, thats the reason and I landed here.

I ordered a Pelizzoli Leggenda frame (The Day I Paid the Doposit)

At first I was very pleased with the communication, all questions were answered in a very short time.
Simona told me it will take about 8 weeks until the frame get's painted, then aprox. 2 weeks for Shipping.

That was before i paid.
After that, every Answer took at least a few Day's most of them 2-3 Weeks or even longer...

So, first of all:
No confirmation that the money has arrived.
No order id. Nothing.
A few questioning emails later simona replied :

Use it everytime you want to get information about

At this Point I thought it might be a stupid coincidence.

Two and a half months later I ask how long it approximately takes until the frame is finished.
Because she told me "...8weeks + 2shipping..."
No reply.
10 emails and 3 weeks later the answer of simona:

in Italy is holiday time and I can not send you pictures of your frame as it is in filings and the filer is on holiday until 08/24/2014
THEREFORE will be returned as soon as operationally we will send you detailed pictures of your frame
Unfortunately, before the move and then the holidays have Slowed dramaticaly

Of course i do NOT received photos in the afternoon!
I was so busy that Week so i didn't had the time to email back,
but the same week (on a Saturday)

I was super happy and transferred the second half on the same day,
and just asked when the package is shipped.

I asked again because I still didn't receive my frame or a shipping number..
And of Course: no Answer yet!

I think when the frame arrives. everything is going to be great and wonderful.
And i Still think that the Guys at Pelizzoli doing a great Job.
However, I find it rude how they communicate with people.
(Obviously i'm not the only one)
I do not care if I have to wait a bit longer, but I dont want to get strange excuses which are obviously not true.

maybe this helps other people with there decision to order from Pelizzoli.

You don't sound stupid AT ALL! Your English is fine, even if it is not quite perfect. (You didn't get yesterday's date correct either; so what?) It is obvious that Pelizolli are VERY slow to communicate and deliver. Your experience seems to match other people's waiting.

as I said. I have is no problem with the waiting time if i know how long it'll take.
but no answers to simple questions is terribly unprofessional.
the buyer (at least I did) feels completely insecure.

e.g. one of my question was:

• is the seatpostclamp included with the frame? or
  
• can I buy the record headset directly from you?
  no fucking reply. and i think it takes 10sec. to answer that.

What's this? Someone did ordered a RAW pelizzoli? How did he expect the fillings were nice if left raw???

They provide the exact same excuses to everyone, whatever the period of the year you order.

For those who bought/ordered a Pelizzoli frame, be very careful with the painting. While installing the bottom bracket I slightly ripped and hit (not very hard) the frame with the wrench. A piece of painting is gone already... I guess there will be many others soon.

I got some issues with the BB. I first installed a Token (Campagnolo compatible), but the clearance between arm crank and chainstay on the non drive side was less than 1mm. Was not big fan of that, so I changed it for a Campagnolo record pista. Clearance is slightly better, but I can't fully screw the left cup or the BB do not spin freely anymore. First experience with a Campagnolo BB, I never had that before. Is that normal?

What kind of cranks are you using? I guess the problem is with the BB

I use the Campagnolo pista cranks. Clearance is fine with the Campagnolo BB, I am just a bit annoyed that I can't totally screw the left cup. Did not have the problem with the Token.

Are you sure you have the correct threading on your campag bb?

Yes, threading is correct. The Campy BB manual mentions that an increase in axle pin rotation friction may be due to a deformed BB cage or the supports not being axial. They suggest to reduce the torque setting at 30 Nm (instead of 70). The thing is that if the BB shell was deformed I should not have been able to install the Token BB... I had no friction with that one.
I guess that when fully screwing the left cup I apply too much force on the bearings (the Campy BB is not a closed system, reason why I first bought the Token) and thus get friction.
Not a huge problem, I just hope that the left cup will not unscrew with time. Will see.

I am now waiting for one and a half months. (13.09.14) that the frame will be shipped.
2 Day's ago i got this Message from Pelizzoli:

" finally got a response from the courier about your package and shipped the same day to the other, since no one had arrived at their destination and they were all pats in Europe.
Finally they told me unfortunately parcels were standing in a store as a result of an accident on the courier had when he was abroad in the center smistamente
as part of the cargo was damaged by stnno fit everything in Italy including my shipping to make a content control
tomorrow I will have everything in the company, control the various parcels and if all goes well redo the shipment in the afternoon, the courier has guaranteed then that in 3/5 days at the most you will have your frame "

I do not understand it completely but it becomes more and more ridiculous...

i think they ruined their business. first frame i ordered 1 year ago and it arrived without any quality control. scratched, flaws, dents wrong detail colors...and then i thought: maybe it was just a coincidence. shipped the frame back to italy and it was sended back with the wrong color details again. reading about your issues i think the company just overestimated its capacity. and as long as people are ordering frames due to the good past image, they will not change anything.

fyi: sold that frame because the geometry was shit and ordered a second one: after again 7 month of waiting the paint job become even worse. pimples everywere...
