Still winning the auction but won't be too worried if I miss out as I'm not sure I can be dealing with the massive ball-ache of trying to find a decent 25.0 ergo seatpost. In case I do win, don't suppose anyone here has a NOS or excellent one they want to sell do they?

What looks to be a €200 52cm Look KG243 if anyone's interested.

• #1104
Get a 400mm seatpost and 15cm stem and you can ride that badboy no problem

Oh my! Well, I wasn't outbid and this is winging its way from Athens! A KG121 to go with my AL264. Pretty good value for £200.00.
No more vintage LOOK talk as I'm sure threads like this serve to drive the price up.
Need to really get a handle on my drunken ebaying.....
It's got a 25.0 post so that's going to be a mission to find something nice.
Think Chris King headset, some nice handbuilt @arup built wheels (Pancenti or Arcetypes with RS Monos) and compact Rotors with Q rings. Yes, slaying puppies with this but I don't care...

Don't worry. One time I got food poisoning in France and hallucinated all the way back to the UK (vomiting and shitting liquid every 30 minutes or so). I got back to the UK, went to hospital and they asked me to go home as my D&V was probably highly contagious. Had a night were I was so confused I kept falling out of bed. Woke up with a sense of "did I really?" checked my email and found confirmation I had just ordered a set of Chris King MTB hubs. Luckily they actually worked out at good value, the pair costing less than a front CK hub at UK retail, but it did force me to build my first set of disc brake wheels.

Looks pretty nice. Will keep my eyes peeled for something 25.0.

Anyone looking to change their larger (55/56) look al264 to size 53? The 53 feels too small for me and would be interested to keep some aluminium in the stable.

I wouldn't get your hopes up, they will probably find they can't get any more stock if you order.

It,s a beautiful frame I was watching this but with two Look,s I could not justify another just yet, should you decide to sell at some point in the future I will be more than happy to take it.

I thought that, but the axle is already at the back of the slot, so he's not going to be changing to a smaller sprocket without also changing the chain or chainring.

It's in the country and out for delivery! Has the Greek postal system been kind to my elderly carbon kg121?
We'll find out this morning. Mega excited!

LOOK, it's here, even came with a letter from the previous owner. 4 days from Greece to London isn't too bad. Made in France , ended up in Greece, now back in London. Wonder where else it's been? Even came with a letter from the previous owner. Thanks for a smooth transaction Kostas. LOOKS to have survived the journey in one piece but can't really open the box fully on the floor with so many people present. More excitable ramblings tonight.

This is killing me, did it make it?

Not sure Andy, I work on a tightly packed floor with 680 others. Most of them don't share my passion for sweet steeds so it needs to stay wrapped in the box for now!

Have to say, it looks pretty cool but there are some cracks in the paint where the alu meets carbonthat the seller didn't disclose which I'm pretty pissed about. He obviously knew they were there and claims they're cosmetic.....
In other far more positive news, my amazing girlfriend has stated she wants to get me some Rotor 3D24 cranks for Christmas. Pretty pleased about this!!!
Reckon compact cranks and q-rings will look pretty good/different on this. It has threaded one inch forks and I have another black CK 1" headset but it's threadless so am going to order the conversion kit from AVT in the US and go down the shim route again do I can go down the oversized bar route. -
• #1124
Have you got any photos of these cracks?

@Hovis Am I going to win/die? I have no carbon experience.....
Send it back? I've raised a claim through paypal which he approved. He's been quite nice about it actually. It does feel smooth when I put my hand inside the head tube and it is pretty ard to see. Any one had anything like this before?
It was advertised with the following statement when for sale :"Minor scratches from time, but no dings and cracks anywhere…"
This is what his response said when asking about the 'cracks':
"I NOW SEE WHAT YOU MEAN
THIS IS NOT A CRACK!!!!
THIS IS THE PART WHERE THE CARBON MEETS THE ALUMINIUM LUG!
THIS IS VERY TYPICAL TO A LOOK FRAME WITH THIS TYPE OF LUGS (CARBON TUBE TO ALU LUGS)
THIS IS ONLY A PAINT ISSUE NOT TUBE!
IF IT WAS A TUBE CRACK IT WOULD BE LIKE A LINE FROM THE LUG TO THE OTHER DIRECTION
BUT IN THIS CASE THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT!
THIS IS JUST superficial PAINT PROBLEM !!!"
