Re this year - I couldn't care less about cups or league position - we'll finish around about where we normally do most likely. Everyone who is normally there, or thereabouts (arsenal, Everton etc) are also looking pretty average at the moment.
Pochettino should just concentrate on working out who in the squad is capable of playing the system he wants them to, grilling those players into shape and moving on the rest of the dead wood on in January and the summer. Hopefully we can buy a striker in January too.
