  • why would you wear that?

Also, everyone, please see thread title: Stylish Cycling kit. You are all way off brief.

  • Does Ed just post what someone else posts? And then adds something slightly different?

  • Bears an unfortunate resemblance to a load of owl pellets.

  • If the new TF ones are made by GSG like all their previous stuff - it's nice, and good quality.

The Warsaw kit and the Mirra look awesome, but they're still not as good as the unobtainably Freddie Merckx ones :(

  • Hmm. I'm getting

    • compulsive masturbator
    • still lives with parents
    • has a PARENTAL ADVISORY EXPLICIT LYRICS t-shirt
    • used to ride brakeless until parents offered to buy front brake

Meanwhile, every cool kit brand has caught on to the Tenspeed Hero trick and is now selling kit to design-savvy blokes by using 20-something girls with long straight hair as models.

  • Don't forget the intentionally awkward looking poses!

I jest, though. It all works for me. I'd buy the crap out of quite a lot of boutique/shop kits, had I the funds..

  • There are some cool kits around, but some bloody awful ones too.
I mean, honestly, who the fuck would actually buy this?

There are times when I wonder if it's all a big ploy to see how stupid cyclists are willing to look to stay 'current'.
    A bit like...

  • Ah yes, there's the other trend in kit advertising: not being anywhere near a bike (eg up mountains, in water, etc).

Terry Richardson is lurking with a Contax and a boner.

  • I really like the loud and questionable stuff, I am generally predisposed towards that kind of thing. I think it's kinda fun that the line between "different" and "horrendous" is so fine. It's also hilarious that a lot of it is reminiscent of 90s kit that a couple of years ago was in no way considered cool.

I think the opposite (garish) end of the scale to Rapha or "traditional" kit is an obvious place for most people (myself included) to go if they want to stand out. However I think there's people that really stand out without going to extremes: Das Rad Klub & MassifCentral both make really classy kit.

That particular jersey, I could be one of those buyers. I fucking hate the shorts though, I think it's the red.

  • I really want a red cycling codpiece now.

  • kuku penthouse?

  • Kuku Readers Wives more like.

  • I feel like you are showing the wrong image to advertise that kit:

  • Looks like @laner. ish.

  • I think it's kinda fun that the line between "different" and "horrendous" is so fine.

Me too, but if that 'Rainbro' kit wasn't from Poler, I think most folk would have immediately dismissed it for the sub-Cath-Kidston puke that it really is.
I suppose life would be dull if we all etc.

  • You should do that lflourogss kit as a special 'SEs Edition'. Prospective wearers have to come to Camberwell and take on @Antidotes at pool or wrestle @ChainBreaker or something before getting their hands on the jersey

  • The Poler kit looks startlingly like an early-period Ikea tablecloth, scarlet crotch aside

There's a menstruation joke in here that we're all too classy for...

  • A menstration?
    You should be defenestrated.
