^this.
Wiggle dealt with this really impressively and sound like a very well run company. Anna Glowinski sounds like she's been a bit hasty with a very serious criticism and Wiggle could be excused for looking at libel action if they felt they had suffered any serious loss

I think it's a little unfair to label her a chancer as we haven't seen the designs in question.
Obviously Anna thought there was enough of a similarity to be beyond coincidence but I also think Wiggle have conducted themselves reasonably.

Anna Glowinski's Anna Nichoola designs appear pretty impressive and seem to have been both wholly original and well-received within the lady-biking community.
Not the work of a clueless chancer.
Suspect AG went off a bit half-cocked calling out Wiggle though as objectively there does not appear to be much substance to the claim their Stars & Bars top was either inspired or derived from a combination of her stars and "eight pack" designs.

we haven't seen the designs in question
We have though - in her original rant, she presented what we must assume are her most compelling examples, which clearly have only the most trivial similarity.
dhb on the left, Glowinski on the right:

What is the point of the zipper on the Glowinski jersey? Either be short or be full length please.
-
• #357
It is a full length zipper.
-
• #358
hmm, shoddy looking construction

I read it through and decided straight away to side with Wiggle.
I can't decide if I'm :
A misogynist.
A sucker for slick PR.
Easily swayed by tester.
Right. -

Maybe none of the above, you just (reasonably) take against anybody who attempts to go viral on social media before they've even talked to the subject of their self-righteous indignation.
-
• #361
Yeh, well, that too.
Nowt wrong with a bit of righteous indignation tho. So long as piloted by a green rabbit.

• #362
Option 5 - easily swayed by free Haribo

I've never ordered from Wiggle, because I can't add things to the basket: Sandboxie or something.
I can't add to the basket using Firefox. If I have to order something I have to switch to IE which is a faff.
-
• #364
To order I open the wiggle site in Firefox and then right click on the Wiggle logo (which is a link to same main site) and then choose "Open Link in IE Tab" and it pretends to be IE and works.
-
• #365
You guys must have some fucked up Firefox installations.
-
• #366
It's mostly NoScript and other such things to prevent adverts/pop-ups/etc.
-
• #367
we'd rather you did not bother logging on to lfgss full stop
-
• #368
I'm sure both wiggle and A.G. Would have sold more jerseys off the back of this. #nonstoryleadsto sales
-
• #369
Once, I'm willing to believe it's a coincidence but twice?
Are Wiggle at smaller companies for 'inspiration?'
Their new dhb kit is very Deux North.

• #370
There's no copyright law in fashion AFAIK.
Does look similar but that's about it.
-
• #371
This place is weird. When Torm clearly ripped off Rapha (identical cut and styling) people on here defended Torm, though when Wiggle have similar designs to smaller companies people get excited.
-
• #372
Btw where did you find that? Liking the look of that DHB
-
• #373
^^ LFGSS. Defending the weak from the strong since 2006 or whenever it was.
-
• #374
I don't recall defending Torm.

Wiggle seem to have just opened a service and collection centre inside Homebase on a retail park in Cambridge.
i guess they are chasing Halfords but it's a weird move.
That's a bit unfair, I thought she came across as a clueless chancer from the outset. Clueless because even I realised as soon as I saw her claim that a company like Wiggle would have pretty solid Chinese walls between their buyers and their in-house designers, and a chancer because the similarities between the designs was so superficial that the only hope she had would have been that Wiggle would find it cheaper to settle than to pay for a fight they know they would have won, but against an opponent from whom they were unlikely to successfully recover their wasted costs.
