  • The first is Athena, or maybe Veloce.

The second is Chorus: second generation to be precise, which inherited Croce D'Aune parts (including cranks) when CDA was dropped from the line-up in '91 or '92.

The numbers in squares are date codes, a bit of internet trawling will tell you which year; they're both C-Record era.

  • Hoping someone out there can help me try and get a bit more info on new project.
What I know…..Diamant Belgium, 1056 group set with STI, cables inset to top tube, rear dropouts 130mm. Cinelli BB not much in the way of numbers and tubing decal has been removed. Campag record hubs and Campag rims (Moskova 80 I think - missing decals again )
Guessing early 90’s and Columbus tubing based in limited info in other forums. Anyone know anyway confirming tubing and or type. Decals are sprayed on in paint……would YOU strip and give to Armortex to re-coat ????... Crowdsourcing for wisdom.

  • Hello good people!
Can anybody give me information about when this frame was born? I was told it's from around 1990.
    KTM Strada CX

  • Triomphe/Victory, Croce D'Aune or 1st Gen Chorus.

The same post, just handed-down when Triomphe/Victory was dropped.

    EDIT
Beaten to it by Breso: page refresh fail.

  • Trying to identify this fork as I need one like it for my track build, looking for a 1" ahead drilled or undrilled. Either alu or carbon, just so long as it has a bit of an aero profile to it.

  • These wheels from classifieds - listed as "peterhof" but the interweb has no mention of them?

  • I had this conversation in the past but I can't find it due to the new search engine.

I have a frame with a clover / trefle cut out in the BB shell. Tubing is Columbus (not sure which kind, it has a triangular sticker), dropouts are Campagnolo.

I remember that it could either be a Colner or a Cornelo.

Since it was sourced in northern france, it would make more sense that it is a dutch Cornelo.

Either way, could you please help - an image search of BB cutouts is not bring up anything.

  • Any idea which Fizik saddle this would be? Unfortunately the name has rubbed off. Thinking it's some kind of Antares perhaps, or some previous model to that.

  • @amey will know.

    He's a sales rep for Fizik ;-)

  • I have these hubs.
    Front is definately record titanium.
Rear is similar to record titanium, but with a steel spindle. Takes 9-10-11 speed cassettes.
    What is it?

  • if the spindle is steel, it is chorus

  • As it seems to be a full NJS build they're either going to be Soyo, Choice G, Champ Yoshida or, most likely from the picture, Crtm.

  • I reckon its a early Fizik Tundra

  • Got a frame which I have stripped stickers off.
All campy parts, braze on front mech, cable routed (both holes on top of the t-tube), notable head lug as in photo.
Under the spray can red it would appear that the forks and rear triangle are purple and the s-tube, t-tube, d-tube are silver. Reminded me of vitus dural colour schemes, or the 90s carerra 531 ranges.

    Any Ideas?

  • Any idea on what this frame is? I bought it off someone about 5 years ago. They said they got it shipped over from the US but other than that didn't know much about it. It has a tiny "IS" mark just above the bottom of the headset, also the serial no. begins with IS. Not much to go on, I know!

It snapped on me the other day, trying to find more about it.

Edit: Serial starts with "IF". My bad!

  • soma speedster if american.
the shape of the cut out in the BB shell resembles Zieleman's but it is not - f&f not pantographed.

  • Hi
    I have a question.

Do you know any cool brand making 1/8 splinned cro-mo cogs? Chris King, Phil? - they don't.
I've found only halo fat foot, but they ain't that cool for me. Since i'll go for izumi super tough track chain, i wont my cog to be good too.
    What would you say?

  • That was quick! Thanks!

  • Cro-mo = steel?

  • not aluminium, lets say.
    analog for regular track cogs.

  • Yep, but i was asking about splinned cogs for a freehub since i'm willing to run single speed with 1/8 chain and front chainring. 3/32 are lots, but don't want them.
