• #12007
they go there to find bicycles and find guns. shouldnt it be the other way round..... very worrying.
-
• #12008
Copper's hashtag: "#fromsmallacorns" ... so the gun was planted?
-
• #12009
Prop or functional?
-
• #12010
It's just a gun? If someone is in the wrong circles surely it isn't that far outside the box to think you might come across it.
-
• #12011
It's a starter pistol for races.

Just caught up with a thief who stole my saddle on Tooley Street (13:15 today), he was cycling up the road when I noticed it missing and took his bag from him.
Police were informed and we drove around looking for him, a member of the public saw him pull out a knife......

You can tell he's a thief by his scouser hair.

I have rescued someone's bike... Private property protection agents used an angle grinder to remove people's bikes from railings in Kingly St, W1 on the afternoon of 31/10. They then left them in the street unattended with a note on them. I found one and brought it into my place of work and put a note on the railings. I'm now on my third note as these people keep returning and removing the note I have left. If anyone knows anyone who has had a bike 'stolen' in this area on Friday please get in touch; I have the bike safely put away in my place of work and am anxious to return it to its owner! Thanks

I really hope someone knows this bike.
Black Raleigh 501 frame, although the original colour seemed to be black, they have sprayed the yellow seat, bar tape and 501 sticker black. Miche track cranks, cheapo back wheel with a quando hub. Kore brake lever and 105 front caliper, cxp22 front wheel and schwable london tire on the back. Odd forks too, looked to be off a 90's carrera.
I don't have the bike, but I know where it is.

Garden broken into last night. 3 bikes taken.
Black Dedacciai Pista - has my name on stickers (Mark Oliver) a non-stock carbon Specialized fork, slate grey cambium saddle, pink Chris King headset, v-sprint wheels. Silver cable guides holding rear brake cable to bike. Fixed 48 x 16 (I think). Looks like this:
Bike no 2 slate grey/blue Condor Fratello. 52cm I think. Wife's bike. 105 groupset shimano r500 wheelset, Michelin lithion wheels - paint worn on down tube due to clamping. World Champs handle bar tape. one tacx and one lezyne bottle cage.
Bike no 3 Boardman Comp SC - singlespeed version of the al frame. pretty tired. As stock, but with red white and blue headset spacers. blue tatty bar tape, no cages. Used as station bike.
give me shout if you've got any tips/spots.

A friend's bike was nicked from her flat off Walworth Road a couple of days ago.. she is very fond of it. It's self-built single speed conversion of a blue Peugeot with Carbolite 103 tubing.
Please let me know if you see it about.

Boardman Team carbon 2012 bike stolen from Fleet St/Ludgate circus on Thurs 6th nov, 12 15pm. Don't have a photo of it now but this was when I had just bought it... Bar tape is now black, handle bars lowered by 1 step, rear cassette is a 12-30 teeth, few scuffs on the top tube. Have changed the seatpost so there is no layback either, and it has Michelin Pro4 Endurance tyres. if you see one being sold anywhere let me know!

^^ Definitely not the same bike. The chain is on different chainrings in the two photos.
To be serious though, they're obviously different sized frames, just look at the amount of headtube on the "inside" between the top tube and the down tube.
MPS photo has none, the downtube and toptubes meet just before the headtube.
The gumtree photo has an inch of headtube between the downtube and toptube.
