can anyone give me some advice - I'm building a pair of royce low flange 10spd hubs onto Flo30 rims, 24 hole. Is it worth me spending an additional £15 to use DT Swiss Competition spokes as opposed to Sapim Race? The DT Swiss will save me 20 grams per wheel which I don't particularly care about but is there anything else I should know about before I go for Sapim race? Or is there another spoke for under 80p each I could opt for such as the Sapim Laser?
Quality is pretty much the same... weight is pretty much the same and I would say actually the Sapim is marginally lighter as it has a steeper taper 2.0/1.8 than the DT Comp.
The reason DT are more expensive is due to Madison being greedy, in Germany they are priced in line with Sapim
