That was due to Apple being open source(?), so not a target as windows was a closed system, and more tempting to hack. However as Apple now very popular, and starting to act like massive cunts (e.g gluing computers together so you can't upgrade them yourself) it's possible viruses could soon start becoming a thing. It's rare, but iPhones have been hit a few times in their history.

So growing up I was always told that you don't need virus protection for macs because no one bothers making viruses and malware for them. Is this still true?
