I used to give exactly the same advice to potential buyers of folding bikes when I worked in a bike shop. I believed it (and still believe it) so much that I don't really know anything about the 'competition'. But I know the Giant Halfways and Kansi bikes that we also sold weren't much good. Thanks for the link.
My parents are after a folding bike for use on canal towpaths while boating.
Something much cheaper than a second hand Brompton, but preferably still decent quality and easy to fold.
