Anyone know if where I can get some new helmet liners for a Carrera Pistard?
Carrera themselves "don't have a UK distributionn set up yet,try later on" and the lbs I got it from don't have any in and Google isn't coming up with anything much either. -

If it's nothing special (and it's probably not if it loosened up on it's own - internet conjecture) just get a Kalloy/Hsin Lung replacement.

Hsin Lung
That's Zoom for anybody not familiar with translating company names into their after-market branding.

I need to order a wheels manufacturing derailleur hanger 223
Is it going to be faster to go into Soho bikes tomorrow and ask them to order it in, or to order it myself?

Hey man another question do you know if a Blackwell research disc can be converted with this http://www.totalcycling.com/en/Zipp-Track-Axle-Conversion-Kit/m-19653.aspx?gclid=Cj0KEQjwt7KiBRD9lOePpe_BhrgBEiQAHaS_132EEknaps2fhK5VWacYIpQGdQI15LY6-VUWiuSFHNkaAnkB8P8HAQ&utm_source=google&utm_medium=shopping&utm_campaign=UnitedKingdom Its a 950 so pre 2004, but was purchased in 2012, it also uses this type of free hub Screen Shot 2014-10-26 at 20.26.09 by shredthe gnar, on Flickr

order it yourself, and cut out the middle man, the only difference is that you won't have to pay for the postage if you went for a brick and mortar shop.

Thanks! I have since found a part from a broken one in the LBS parts bin as suggested!
-
• #64063
I should have mentioned I need it fitted by a shop as one of the cheese bolts currently on it rounded on my first twist so it needs drilling/tapping out that I dont have the tools to do

If it has track threads on the NDS I'd wager it's convertible. All the Zipp converter does is reduce the OLD diameter to 120mm and cover the freewheel pawls.
-
• #64066
Its really odd, it has a gold free hub body not red/blue i.e. 2005 to present zipp, and not silver pre 2005 zipp. Although is made by zipp and is just 950...

You need a picture of the NDS. Is this Canon's on the TT forum?
-
• #64068
In that case, it would be worthwhile ordering it in, ask what they charge for labour as well as making sure they actually can take the bolt off rather than leaving it in the back after realising they couldn't do it, like Brixton Cycles.
-
• #64069
@umop3pisdn yes it is
-
• #64070
Ah now i understand, at first didnt realise how that axle would convert it to track, the threads are just on the nds and the axle changes the old!
-
• #64071
I am obligated to point out Raltec covers, which will be just as fast and quite a bit cheaper than buying and converting a disc.
-
• #64072
Also though its a 950 its dimpled??

No idea, you'll need a wind tunnel to tell the difference between different discs. I'd save for a powermeter and buy wheel covers.

yea would be sensible but no rumble
