The only reason I consider going tubular is carrying a tube under my saddle. Very euro-pro.

You can still do that with clincher.

Maybe it's just a hi-end side project, like s-works is for specialized.
Edit: wrong thread

Because too much is never enough.

for the people who are never going home.

That Moots was for sale, stupidly high asking price. All of the tubes can be used for fuel/water storage.

Looks like the smaller trail wheel has a disc as well... Why?
Nice bike though, it would be a perfect survival machine, maybe for a zombie outbreak, but only if the zombies were just 3 inches tall. -

Might be so you can swap the trailer wheel for the front wheel. Looks like the front wheel also has a fixed cog for such wheel-swapping events

I always have mixed feelings when I see that Moots.
On the one hand it appeals to my inner child. On the other I just think, use a 4x4 and then hike the rest with a backpack.

It was made for some polar expedition or something like that wasn't it?

Why not just fly straight to the destination by helicopter?

LoL.
A FatMoots-full-of-liquid and covered in luggage would be limited in a zompocalypse if the zombies are the tricky, running kind.
Good chances against Daleks though.

The Iditarod Trail maybe?

Pulling a trailer during the Iditabike?

Yep, it was a bloke called Mike Curiak. He rode the thing unsupported twice, and actually managed to finish once.
Seems like a bit of a legend. The trailer bike was made to go to the South Pole.

Wonderful pictures of general adventure-ness on his blog as well, makes me wish I wasn't stuck in London.
