  • What's the crack with BC Licences - I don't have one (not raced BC
races this year) but do have an LVRC Licence (because I race LVRC
events). Will I need to get a BC Licence then just for the rest of
    this year?

Had same concern, so emailed FullGas and they've since said that BC Gold and Silver Membership with either full or provisional race license is fine for LVV TL.

  • Received my license with 'UK Velodrome Accredited' printed on it. Nice :)
I am going to try and make the 13:00 session on Sunday, say hi if you see me

  • £21 for each session seems to be a bit steep, imo.

  • I think it's reasonable - I pay £10 (plus £10 series entry) for an hour's LVRC crit at Hog Hill or Dunton.

This is a much better facility and needs more resource to support the racing so I'm happy to pay...although I thought it was £20 series entry and then £20 per night of racing...?

  • You're right. It's £20 + £1 BC booking fee every night.

  • Antony Wallis - Ciclos Uno racing as a B.. I wonder how many times he will lap the field on a 250m track?

I'm glad I got put with the Cs. With Andy racing, good luck to the B riders. You'll have two choices; let him go and race for second place or (figuratively speaking) get your head kicked in. :)

  • Anyone know if this briefing/registration today is compulsory? I'm not sure if I've got time to go.

  • You need to tell them if you're not going really. They're taking registration fee and double checking licences and going over the key points of the league.

I went to the morning session and it was good to get answers for all the questions people had. Particularly about registering to race and how you won't be able to race every event.

  • I have been put with the Cs which is fine for me as I have not raced for 3+ years.
I still don't know how you go about registering to race to be honest

  • I believe you sign up through the events section on the BC site.

Or do you mean registering for the league?

  • I registered yesterday so yep I meant for the nights I am intending to race

  • I've messaged the FG team. It doesn't seem to be allowing people to book their race spaces yet as they haven't added riders to a list of subscribed riders yet...

I'd also like to know which special events are which as I'd love to do an indoor Keirin and some match sprinting (and probably get owned).

I'll see you in the C's Mike! :)

  • The special events won't include match sprinting as it takes too long. Will be Keirins, Madisons and perhaps Derney races

  • Whre are you meant to book the races is int on the BC website?

  • The special events won't include match sprinting

I'm sure in my meeting with them yesterday they mentioned possible sprint events. I know time is tight on the nights, but they also said Madisons would be for advanced racers only.

    BC Events page

Full Gas have just posted on their Facebook page that they are still processing entries. So you should be able to book after then.

  • I spoke to them on the phone yesterday and they told me that they will be running other briefings in the coming weeks. You only needed to attend yesterday if you plan to race in the first week of TL. Seeing as I won't be fully accredited until the end of Nov, and unlikely to actually race until Dec it didn't seem worth schlepping all the way there yesterday afternoon when I had work that needed doing.

  • I am unable to book on the website.

  • Try now. I just entered.

  • I also managed to enter about 10 minutes ago. Although, it doesn't confirm I've got a place yet and not every date is available...

  • Yes I entered for the first and second Thursdays. Really looking forward to it

  • How and when do we know if we have been accepted to race on the night we have applied for?

  • Wait for an email confirmation. I just received one for the next week.

  • Who's racing tomorrow? Is it free to spectate? Is there beer?

  • Did anyone race last night? How was it?

  • I didn't go to watch in the end, was swayed by a bottle of wine and roasted bambi instead. Would be cool to hear some feedback though.
