Ordered the 200 eu EA70's + free tyres for my Chinese crabon bike today :).

An oft-repeated anecdote of mine, but my mate Neil has gone through 3 rear Pacenti rims, all warrantied, with the spokes pulling through. Seems to be a manufacturing issue with powerful lads...
They're gorgeous rims otherwise, apart from the whole tubeless-tyre-change nightmare.

yup, scales picture please.

So according to my mental arithmetic, that means the brake track is 1.25mm thick on the stans. Does that mean they have a short life span?

They should go and exchange themselves under warranty.

short life span?
Probably.
I'd buy Archetypes if you want a sensible rim. 340s if you want lightweight wheels.
I'm a bit put off by Pacenti personally. Stans gets stick for the mk1 340 but at least they dealt with the (relatively minor) issues and they did suggest washers, but were ignored. Pacenti sold the PL23 which was just shit.

Okay noted. Archetype probably does make sense but I have them on another bike and want to try something new.
I'll look at belgium C2 or ready built Ardennes as suggested earlier. Thanks all

Bite the bullet. Get Ardennes Plus.

I have a 2013 Ardennes wheelset and they are awesome, love it.

I have the Jets so this does make perfect sense. Big dollar though.

I'm sure you have the dough Hovis.

No pics as yet, but you'll have to trust me...
weights for 3T Accelero Pro are as follows, no skewers:Front: 840g
Rear: 1040gSo not lightweights! Interestingly I weighed another front wheel: archetype, 32h and ultegra hub = 960g

This is normal of Pacenti, mine also does the same, as well as cracking.
Pacenti made them way too weak.

big bloody lols

Looks interesting. Might go with that. Have you ordered with them? Am I likely to get stung by customs?

Looks like dp18 and xm319 Disc had sex http://www.bikehubstore.com/mobile/Product.aspx?ProductCode=C22

No, but amey has as well as a couple of other people. The dude is pretty helpful if you want to ask him any questions.

Tbh, 3T website says the exact same
http://www.3tcycling.com/road/en/bike-components/road-wheels/accelero-40-pro-black/
Was actually thinking getting these now probably going to invest in some Chinese crabon on winter instead.

Scales don't lie. Italian component brands do. It's traditional. #casualracism
I doubt the Evans employee even weighed it, they just googled it!

This might be a conversation had before here, but anyone used this website before for wheel purchasing?

Also these days there is a lot of talk about people moving away from the 21mm rim to 23mm (and even 25mm) The downfall is the weight I take it, but what are the up shots?

Would rate BHS, top bloke, great service and good products too.
No. They had complaints and made the current 340 (which has a thicker spoke bed).
