  • As a postscript I got a cheap pack of no brand batteries from an ebay seller last year for some Knogs and they were utterly shit.

  • I wouldn't mind finding out the quality of these compared to the DX ones and compared to the ones that come in the Knog in the first place.

  • Did this go ahead in the end?

  • I think the decision was made to go with the cheaper no-brand batteries, so this never happened.

It would be interesting to compare branded against non-branded in terms of longevity etc in my view, so I might still get some however.

  • If this does ever happen i would be interested! I'd take 10 to 20 ish.

  • dfp knows the score - 13p each including p&p.

Orders arrive pretty quickly from DX too.

Did anybody buy these from DX? I don't know that I've ever ordered anything from America like this. Am I likely to lose out on exchange rates or anything? It definitely seems worth it when 20 batteries are delivered for $3.66 which currently works out at £2.47 which makes them work out at 12.35p for each battery.

  • I just ordered a 5pk for myself (DX are in Hong Kong, but operate in USD). Quite happy to pay 28p/battery, and some reviewers think these ones are slightly more consistent in quality than the 20pk variety.

Previous orders from them have been totally trouble-free.

  • Is there any difference between the 5pk and the 20pk then? Is it a diff manufacturer or something? The 20pk, even if there are a few duds, must work out cheaper when they are less then 10 of the others.

  • Possibly different manufacturer.

I only need 3 batteries right now, so the 5pk worked out cheaper ;)

  • I went for a couple of packs of the 5 pack, so that should keep me going a litte while. I also bought some rechargeable AAA's whilst I was at it. Cheap as chips - around £5-6 for the lot including postage and it will do for at leats two bikes worth of lights!

  • Any up-to-date recommendations for a cheap source of decent CR2032 batteries? They seem quite pricey and I suspect a lot of the very cheap ones on eBay are not genuine.

  • I bought a sheet of them in Sainsbury's a while ago on the cheap

  • FYI: this page has datasheets for many brands of CR 2032

http://www.batterystation.co.uk seems to do Duracell ones for 59p each when you buy more than 10. Shipping's £2.99 though. Anyone want a few to split the shipping cost a bit? 55p each and free shipping if we get 100+.
