I've always thought a café that does cycle hire would be a great idea in the right location.

Someone should turn Jam St Cafe into a cycling cafe now it's closed down...

Coffeefix is now also a bar, open until 10pm each Thurs Fri & Sat. Bottles no draught. Nice stuff though. Espresso Martini sounds ace.

It couldn't work out if it was a cafe, bar, restaurant or small nightclub!
Nothing I disliked about jam st more than sitting there trying to finish off some tasty food whilst a DJ plays bangin tunes a foot away from me...

Visited the Rapha Cafe this morning, it's a really nice space. Loads bigger than it looks from outside. The coffee was good too. Do like.

Gonna try and avoid, in the interest of staying solvent/with partner. Plus, I'm clean shaven so won't get past the door sentry.

Went today. Power fault means no till so free coffee (Ancoats Warehouse City Blend, v.nice I use already at home) & cake.

Nice in there, going back Monday for sure.

Ok, I cracked. It took 2 days. Free coffee/cake can't grumble. Staff are very friendly.
Nice overall if a teeny bit wanky (but that's Rapha)

Any of you knows if Neil Orrell shop is stil active? I tried to contact him my e-mail for some decals without success.

Was definitely still open a few months ago. The World Masters Track Champs were in Manchester until last weekend so he may well have been spending time there.

Jam st has reopened, it's a hodge podge of styles and generally seems to have lost its way. Will be sticking to the Hillary Step

Totally agree with this. Though the name remains unchanged, I don't see any of the old Jam St in the new Jam St. New place seems distinctly average/generic.

When does Velo Espresso open? Going to Manchester to use the velodrome there and could fancy a cycing cafe :-D
