Not sure how long you mean, but this will cover your arse http://www.montane.co.uk/range/men/windproof/featherlite-vlo-jacket
V. light, packs up to the size of a big apple. Completely windproof, and pretty good in the wet too.

Loving my City Rain atm too. Not yet had the courage to unroll the fluro bit and cycle with a bright pink baboons ass.

any reasonably priced womens softshells out there that have sufficiently small sizes - without Waffa price tag?

Woolen cardigan, cap, and a cycle cape. Sorted :)
NB don't use a cycle cape unless you have full mudguards.

Posting this here as well-
Anyone with a gabba know if someone with a 98cm chest would get away with an xl which is on the size chart for 105cm?My normal jersey size for my clubs racefit jerseys is large and I've seen recommendations to size up, but I'm not sure what size I am in castelli.

If you live in London, try it on. I recall Cycle Surgery on Chiswell street having L and XL, possibly even XXL etc

Just get another polartech jacket, that isn't a silly colour, or a down jacket. If you want casual and warm.

Finally I got a chance to try my Pearl Izumi PRO Aero WxB jacket. First impressions are superb. Really breathable, good road-specific fit (nice and tight, no floppy shit) and definitely waterproof. It's also super light, packs down to jersey pocket size and has a really strange stretchy fabric (form fit or whatever they call it), that is actually very nice. Currently on sale @ koo bikes - http://www.koo-bikes.com/pearl-izumi-pro-aero-wxb-jacket-mens.html

Gore Oxygen 2.0 is fucking awesome

looks like a good deal and product, what's your size and jacket size ?
-
• #815
I'm 6"1 and a slim build with longer arms. Went for a Medium hoping it would fit and it's spot on. The arms are more than adequately long so when you're bent over, your wrists aren't exposed and I can fit a Gabba LS underneath no problem without the jacket turning into a skinsuit. I reckon the sizing is a tiny bit bigger than you would normally go for. So if you're borderline S/M, go for the small.

You wear it with a gabba? Isn't it a bit hot?
-
• #817
ok cool
just asking because i got a sugoi S rain jacket for commuting, and the S feels like M in the upper body, so as i don't know Pearl Izumi as a brand...

They're giving away nikwax tx direct wash in outside the ski and snowboard show today. Just a heads up for anyone who needs some!

jv - I wouldn't wear the combo unless it was properly coming down but even so, it's a surprisingly breathable.

Have been thinking of getting the Gore Oxygen 2.0 for awhile now and just noticed Wiggle have a £40 off offer at the moment.
Should I be sizing up, i hear they run small?
-
• #821
if you've the cashflow, order two, return etc
-
• #822
absolutely do it; its the best road cycling jacket I've ever used. Wiggle also have the exclusive all black everythang ..

I have absolutely no idea why they didn't include vip vents - would have made it actually useable.
That puzzle me as well, even the Winter Jersey have vents FFS.

Silly they discontinued the hi vis one.

Ordered! Went true to size, so lets see what happens.
Looks pretty similar to my swrve Milwaukee, which rarely gets worn because I find it too hot on the bike and too weirdly shaped as an off-bike jacket.
I think what I'm looking for is something breathable but initially warm, as in my experience windproof+vents means your ribs get a breeze, the sweat on your back turns to ice and your arms are still boiling hot.
