This is probably a better bet in terms of riding, but obviously it's almost twice the price.

Same...worries about boil-in-the-bag I mean. Fabric is 'fairly heavyweight and water resistant coated Nylon fabric which is durable for everyday use' - so boil in the bag.
I already have a mavic goretex paclite for riding...commuting and all other non-ride-riding is a different question I think.
Relaxed fit means you can shove extra absorbent layers on. In reality i am gonna sweat buckets whatever I wear, so it doesn't really matter so much.
