The Pave give the bike an Italian look: red, white and green innit?

A) I like being able to work on my bike myself
B) I like being able to afford replacement parts
C) I need to run a gxp crankset for stages anyway
D) I have a SRAM red group just sitting there (see also point C).
E) I don't want to have a bike I need to charge or run a diagnostic on. Its a bike ffs.
F) di2 is nice, but not nice enough to justify ignoring any of the above. Its just a luxury; and one that doesn't make you any faster.

Sort of accidental. It had CX's on until a week ago - autumn tyres init :)

Oh snap! Done exactly the same.

Bought a supercheap frame to chug my spare parts on. Stuck on gear/drivetrain though. 9s Flat bar and shifters? Drops with 10s Retroshift?
Even thought of moving my current Rival/Force gruppo from the Rychtarski onto this one, as i've planned to upgrade for next season. But i'm not sure how smart it is to ride force brifters & derailleur in winter.

Upgrade on coppi. Polished nuovo record seatpost, white gear cable housings, rubino tires and DA brake pads.

Got my Colnago sorted for duties again, so that I can let my Canyon rest for the winter after this weekend's hill climb. Repaired/replaced/upgraded the RH shifter so that it's now alloy Record 11sp (admittedly too nice for a 'winter bike'), documented here . Replaced wilko alloy cages with Arundel stainless to keep the bidons nice, and also made minor repairs to the mudguards (raceblade longs).
Not the best photo, I'll try and do better when I replace the saddle with something nicer.

Thoughts on this as a winter wheelset?
Seller is asking €50, would be interested in running them ghetto tubeless with joe no flat stuff. Currently have a pair of Fulcrum 5's so I'm guessing it would be a down-grade, but I'll be mostly be trashing these on singletrack and I don't have any spare wheels at the moment.

They look solid enough to me. cxp22 and tiagra both have reliable reputations as far as I know.
If they're straight and true and the braking surfaces aren't concave then it's a good deal. -

As well as a velodrome 10 mins away, York also has some sweet trails (apparently). Parts bin build to explore them on (with a frame off here).
What's the best inline cable adjuster for brakes and gears? Caad x has a terrible design on the rear cable hanger.

Thanks, yes this handlebar seem's really nice, I was afraid because the product picture on Wiggle website isn't the good one.
Your Somec is gorgeous and the build is very cool, i've seen him long time ago in the french bikeporn.
Anyway, Somec + Max tubing = WIN
