A lot of the time when I listen to Bay Area raps it is the happy druggy stuff.
Still, for all of the Souls of Mischief, Iamsu!, or hyphy shit I listen to, there is rad dark shit too.
A-Wax has a story and it is a sad one. One of those in-jail-for-years from age 16, etc. He is clearly missanthropic, sexist etc. His latest record though is on loop for me. First track is strongest imo.
