So I decided to scrap almost all the ongoing project I had (Hugh Porter and Guerciotti ALAN, but not the La Variable) to go for my first Italian project.
It started when I bought @bellabici 's Gipiemme F.Moser-pantographed Gipiemme Dual Sprint here on the forum.
The groupset included a Campagnolo Nuovo Gran Sport rear and front derailleur.
All in amazing conditions (except for one Gipiemme pedal missing the dust cup.)
I originally intended to put it on the Hugh Porter (using many of those components [no BB for example as it would have had Italian threads, whilst the HP comes with British BB shell]).
But then in a private e-mail @bellabici stated he also had the frame that was originally carrying this lovely groupset.
The price was fine and he had it restored properly too.
I thought it would have been a shame to part them, so I got the frame too.
It's an easy project as I've got everything I needed to build it up except for a couple of pieces:
seatpost binder bolt
wheelset
bar tape
saddle
bottle cage
The seatpost bolt was quickly resolved as eBay happened to have this on sale:
While the Italian made Cobra cage was almost mandatory and period correct (also eBay):
The bar tape was also quickly solved here on the forum as @Drew_Hubjub had a white pack for sale for cheap.
I have two San Marco's saddle waiting for a bike already. The black Rolls that was first mounted on the Holdsworth Mistral and the Ergo that was on the Venom.
The F.Moser San Cristobal was originally sold to customers with a black saddle and white tape, and I've seen pictures of Moser's bikes (not Aelle of course, but same geometry) with blue bar tape.
I think I might go for the white Ergo saddle though as it'll match the white tape and I find it more comfy than the black Rolls.
As for the wheelset, all the F.Moser San Cristobal I've found online, and in a 1984 catalog, were sold with tubulars with Mavic RIMS (I found two examples one with Monthlery Pro and the other [mine] which came with Mavic Speciale Sport, which I think was a cheaper [single eyeleted] model than the Monthlery.)
I went for a couple of Monthlery Pro rims I found on eBay while @NorthLondonLight provided me with a couple of tubulars.
These will be my first tubulars and the first wheelset I'm gonna build from scratch.
I think and hope I've measured the Gipiemme Dual Sprint hubs properly and it seems I have to order two sets of spokes:

For some reason the stem won't fit into the forks, I think it just needs a little squeeze
Of course I can't wait to put this on the road of London, but I'd like to give the components a proper clean first and re-grease first.
