  • Belated thank you to @nefarious @IR and @tina.kino I was really surprised with how they came out. I actually did have a roll of cinestill with me and didn't use it.

  • Some recent B&W shots.

  • very nice tones

  • @philgresty last one for me is really nice

  • Really nice, phil

  • Kodakolor 200 - Nikon 50 / 1.4

  • Kodakolor 200 - Nikon 50 / 1.4

  • I've had mixed results with cinestill but I can safely say that I'm in love.
Can't upload as I'm on the train but I'll definitely be ordering more!

  • Where are peeps getting their Cinestill from? I wanna try!

  • On a vaugely related note. I've got an interview tomorrow in THE LONDON, wish me luck, so then we can all meet up and take sexeh pics.

  • I bought a cheap wide angle zoom and it turned out to not be completely shit (at least for my purposes, might be different if I shot nice film in nice light).

  • Bollocks. No stock. Will bookmark for later though. Thank you, TK.

Also good luck, nefarious! What's the interview for?

  • You can get it from west end cameras on tottenham court road.

  • Need some advice guys... I'm heading to South America for 6 months... what film and what camera should I take?

Options: Yashica t3, Gr1 v, Gr 1, Hexar AF, Leica Minilux, Big Mini, Contax T2.

I'm thinking the Hexar and a GR1 as backup (one is pretty crappy, ones ok). Film, Kodak Professional Ektar 100 - 135-36 - Colour Negative Print Film makes sense?

  • I'd take the gr1 v, a cheap mechanical SLR with a 50mm and fuck loads of poundland film+velvia and ektar.

  • Cheers @IR!

I also have a OM10 too but my eyes are crap so need something that does the focus for me or everything is blurred. Hexar is pretty similar my only fear is its slow shutter (max 1/250) might become an issue if its constantly sunny...

Could you link me to the specific fils you are recommending?

  • I think it's a rather personal matter which of those to take with you;
what sort of pictures are you after, how do you shoot / which camera do you like using most, are you going to places where it might not be agood idea to carry expensive gear, etc.

Same goes for film, basically - what do you like?

That being said - if it was me I'd chose GR, Minilux and Contax to have at least slightly different focal lengths, and bring various films, both slide and non-slide, and some higher iso negative film as well definately for the evenings....

  • @tina.kino knew you'd come through with some thoughts! Cheers.

I'm a bit worried the Minilux wont last. Maybe i'll take the Contax too, will check out what focal lengths they all have.

Film wise, forgot I might need some evening shots! So.. a few 100, a few 160/200 and a couple 400? Not sure I can be bothered with slide.
