Today is going to be interesting...

Empty roads for the main part though I'd missed the rain just, about 200m from work when it started but got soaked. Never remove overshoes in autumn months.
Disappoint in the wind strength neither here nor there really. 7/10

Well it might not be windy down south, but that was no tailwind. Decent gusting crosswind, all the way in. Good fun though. Gabba convertible jacket is fucking incredible.

Same story here of a dry-ish ride in and an absolute rain lashing 5 minutes from the office just when you thought you'd got away with it.
-
• #3036
Just a few minutes of drizzle mid-ride and similar tailwind strength disappoint.
Of course, it'll be lashing it down and 40mph gusts in my face on the way home (which is why I cycled in. Last train commute was August 4th.)

Wow. such rain. Awesome tailwind coming in from South though.
-
• #3038
Yup, silly thing is had I woken when my alarm actually went off instead of resetting it for 6.30 I would have beat the rain. Fucking bollocks.
And that was definitely not a 60mph tailwind.

Bit windy. Completely dodged the rain. Did do a really stupid RLJ near OKR tesco after getting a disorienting face full of rainwater from a mudguard-less roadie.

Tailwind

I have no reason to commute today but I really want to go somewhere anyway.

I'll add to the air of disappointment regarding the tailwind. Sat munching my cheerios this morning and the trees were going all swishy swashy in the gusts. Stepped onto my steed for the downwinder to work and it all died off. Felt more like a little hand on my back rather than the rocket up my bottom I was hoping for.
Edit-last line is strictly in terms of propulsion and not a hankering for any kind of hanky panky.

I've done that before and end up coming to a complete halt, as did the person on my wheel.

Missed the rain bar a few drops but mostly headwind from Charlton to Old Street. Hoping that the fucker doesn't turn for the ride back.

• #3046
the desk in front of mine is currently my drying rack, lovely selection of soaked arm warmers socks and shorts all draped over it.

• #3047
Sorry, that was me removing the rain jacket that I thought might come in handy today.
Waste of fucking time. I may as well cycle in Speedos for the rest of my life.
