Wheels for Wellness in Brixton would probably love them given that they lost all their bikes in a fire last year: http://www.southlondon-today.co.uk/tn/news.cfm?id=42264
I don't know how you'd contact them as Google doesn't throw them up when searching

Dredging up an old topic, but my office is moving soon and I think there are some abandoned bikes locked up in the basement. Can anyone recommend some bike charities who would like them?

United Kingdomor, alternatively, a bike auction with proceeds going to charity? Although I don't know how it will go down selling someone else's property, abandoned or not...

At my workplace bike sheds they carry out a periodic audit and put a tag on any bikes that appear abandoned, saying they will be given to charity if not reclaimed / moved within a number of weeks. Seems an easy way to handle it.
Hi wud like to know if anyone knows of any charity who will take some free bikes. At our work bike sheds there are a few (maybe about 7 - 10) mostly mountain bikes that have not been claimed by their owners. Some have been locked up for over a year and despite 30 day notices stuck to the bikes, most have not claimed back their bikes. For this reason the landlords will be removing and taking them to the tip unless they are claimed by 30th may. If you know of any organisations who may benefit from having these bikes they are willing to pass these onto them. The bikes are in Havant and if anyone is interested they must collect them themselves. In first instance contact me for details.
