Have a really great time! -

You'll be missed hats!
I'm thinking of going BMXing afterwards in Burgess Park.. Anyone else fancy it?!
-
• #31
I'm not accredited at Burgess yet, so can't do the rock up and ride. I was thinking about doing the Mule Bar Girl's track session if they are still running.
-
• #32
They should be .. I was there the week before and they said they would try to keep running sessions .. I'm up for a track session after if I don't get too muddy =)
-
• #33
From those pics it looks like CX is cross-country running on wheels and xc is fun when it's muddy!
I'll try to make an appearance for the supporters club, especially as Doctor Cake may bring a game to the pub. I'll check this thread on Sunday for updates.

What shoes are you bringing, can I bring my own pedals ?
-
• #35
With the herne hill track bikes you can swap your own pedals on.. I would imagine that the same goes for their cross bikes .. but it's rapha running the session so can't be 100% sure ... mtb shoes would be much better than regular trainers for running in the mud..

What time are people getting to the velodrome?
-
• #38
Errmagerd, derrnuts!
-

Super good fun. Won't be taking up cx any time soon, but if any ladies get the chance to go on a future cross skills session, you should. Even if just for the mud.

Ahhh did you all have fun? What did you do? Tell me EVERYTHING!
-
• #43
It was super-cool. Really had such a rad time.
Brought me straight back to when I was and 8 years old scout in the belgian forest.
I loved BMX, but this CX was yet another level of thrill and of OMG-I-want-to-do-this-all-day-everyday.
How does it work to get in the fun race, do you know ? -
• #44
i predictably threw myself into it and was bloody within ten minutes but a good layer of mud sorted that out no problem. it was scary for me because i've forgotten how to ride anything with gears or brake hoods or flat pedals so i felt wobbly as anything but it was SO MUCH FUN. hard, but worth it

Aww I'm glad you guys enjoyed!
With the fun race, you need to sign up on the day and just say you did the women's skill session at Herne Hill and they'll check your name and you won't have to pay. I think there's only a limited number of on the day spaces left so get to the sign on tent early in the day rather than just before the race.

And are you going to sign up too @Ecunard ? I think you have to go on their site and enter details and say you did the session yest.
see here details http://pages.rapha.cc/cross/super-cross-ukIt says it all starts at 11.15, DC, what time did you say that Howard was racing? What time you getting there?
