• What you'd want with some good scratchings is a (Manns? Adnams?) brown over bitter. The bitter giving a base of hoppy acridity with the brown adding depth and a touch of fizz.

    Of course the other thing my vegetarianism denies me is those hipster scotch eggs that are all over the place these days

  • Boiled egg surround by bacon meat (minced up bacon) then dipped in doughnut batter then deep fried. Maybe a maple sugar glaze.....
