No, I wouldn't call being run over by a drafter in place of me not slamming on the anchors to avoid having a full head on with a j walking ped necessarily doing it wrong.
Instead I feel a little bit more enlightened to the fact that if I do come to a dead stop to avoid a possible ped strike that I've got a good chance of getting run over by whatever vehicle is behind me.
@Antidotes yes I still ride the white one, the pompino isn't finished yet. I have less issues with the secondary rear brake since I swapped from drops+drop levers+crosstops to bullhorns+tt levers. Not had ongoing issues with the primary front brake, had a cable snap but then I pulled the rear brake instead to stop and walked it the last bit home.
Passed 4k accident free miles so far this year according to strava. Maybe you are doing it wrong?
