Why the fuck would I want to wear baggy shorts over cycling shorts. If I go out on a 200k audax then they're just going to cause chafing, overheating in the nether regions and hold lots of chilling moisture if I get caught in a shower. The same applies for heading for a bit of a trundle around the countryside for coffees or beers. For what? What exactly is this uniform, homogenised look you're hoping people are going to acheive?
I hate this obsession that people have about looks while cycling. Sure there are a few very minimal standards to adhere to but trying to prescribe what people should and shouldn't wear makes you sound like those cunts that came up with the Rules of the Velominati, most of which are a nothing more than spaffing hollow self-gratification on your keyboard. Fuck it, the rule should be wear something that you feel comfortable in that is going to be appropriate for the kind of ride you're doing. If someone doesn't like how you look, they're the cunt, not you.
Then break the rule, they're only for the obedience of fools (and the guidance of wise men). At least it's a rule worth having and choosing to break rather than a rule worth breaking and choosing to have.

Also, where are my fucking doughnuts?
