Heh, and you know I love living with Linux and making other stuff (Garmin) work with simple tricks.
But the iPod range + Linux... never consistently works. It starts off fine, and then it will fuck up. Eventually you'll buy a Sansa Clip anyway as you'll want something that works, and the shuffle will become a lovely adornment to your desk.
