pake do 61 cm steel frames for not too much money. they're nothing fancy, but nice and solid and good for cutting about. slave potential with the right parts too i reckon

All I can says is to concentrate on the stack and reach, track frame generally longer than road bicycle as a rules, a 54cm track frame have the reach of a 56cm.
This Goldsprint might be able to fit you, they come up to 66cm, and base on a classic road/track geometry (standard head/seat tube angle, but with track fork).
@apollo have a tig welded modern version of the track frame above, and he's a freak of nature.
i didn't want to make a thread. there is probably a proper one i should post my complaint in. why is it so hard to find a mass-produced out of the box track complete or frame i like in 61cm? i don't like the langster pro, felt tk2/3 (fugly), jamis sonik, masi coltello. i want alu but nothing with a proprietary seatpost. would rather have a look al 464, all-city thunderdome, or vigorelli but the last two are 58cm tops. i guess the new cannondale is what im looking for but that slack geo, jesus. dont want to go extra spacers might have to bite the bullet and ride 58cm. condor lavoro looks good, but shipping to u.s. will probably kill me some money saved getting a bike here. i'll just keep lurking.
