  • Got my wife an Emow Mega as an intro to vaping but "it's a bit fucking big" so is there something smaller as good can be used on sneaky work fag breaks?

  • Aerotank mini with an ego battery

  • Yup. This is what I started with and a great setup.

  • Here's mine with one of the smaller batteries.

  • And here with a bigger ego-ctwist variable voltage battery

  • Linky to batteries plz?

  • I can't even remember now, I think the small one came with a starter kit from Total E Liquid. The twist was from another shop but most of them have them.

  • Generally speaking, you'll want an 18500 / 18490 (same thing) with a kick in a mech mod. Got a link to what you actually bought?

  • If this is me you are replying too then this is what I now have:

    Aqua Rebuildable Atomizer (Clone)
    King Clone Mechanical Mod
Sigelei Kick (5W - 10W) to add Variable Wattage to your Mechanical Mod
    Nitecore Digicharger D2

  • Small ones are 650mAh and bigger ones are 900mAh+ usually. There are loads of manufacturers out there, but I would stick to Kanger, Vision, something from someone you think might do a refund if it dies.

  • Yep - that was for you!

Doesn't look like you will be able to fit an 18650 and a kick:

    http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-vaping-discussion/566761-infinite-satin-king-clone-18650-battery-kick.html

So your choices are 18500 (lower mAh and current limit) with a kick or 18650 without. The 18500 should still be an Efest Purple or an AW IMR and 18650 should be Sony VTC4 / VTC5 or Efest Purple.

Considering the power limit is 10W on the kick, I think I would go for an 18650 and forget about the kick. The Aqua seems like quite a nice atty (of which I have no experience) and I think it might benefit from having more than a 10W power supply. I think I would aim for a 1 ohm build on an 18650 Efest Purple, which is a long way inside the quoted limit of 35A, although the real limit is probably more like 25A from what I've heard. Either way, I doubt you'll be blowing anyone up any time soon unless you short something, so use a multimeter or a proper atomiser ohm tester on your build before pushing the button for the first time.

Have you seen Todd's build on the Aqua? It's one of his scruffiest, but works just fine.

  • Alternatively, build a coil just above the minimum resistance for the kick to get the best out of it. You can run a 1 ohm coil on an 18500 Efest Purple, so you can switch between the two and decide which is more your speed.

  • And finally, you'll probably want at least 2 batteries so you can have one on charge whilst the other is in your mod.

  • ohhh... Kudos Butters!

  • I bought a new spring/end attachment for my Vamo V5 but the fucker is still getting hot, I'm guessing it's borked... If anyone would like the dead V5 for spares and the new end attachment, you can have the lot for a fiver... Sound fair?

  • It gets hot because the connection isn't that great. Perhaps a copper spring soldered to the end cap would be better, if you can be fcuked.

  • Maybe I'll try soldering the spring to the end cap... It's only my back up anyway... Found myself in a position where I had three non-working mods last week... Rubbish...

I still haven't fixed the dodgy Roller... Tut, tut...

  • What's the collective wisdom on steeping time? My last batch has been steeping for 12 days now, tastes good already...

Any point leaving it any longer? Will it deteriorate or get better? TIA, J x

  • .... Tastes good already....

  • ... Will it get better?

  • It does taste bloody good tho'...

  • I think that once it is steeped, that's it. I have gone back to some old juices (like maybe 6 months old) and they seem alright, but are really dark and tend to clog up a bit more.

With the amount you made, some is going to end up getting steeped for another few weeks anyway, so you'll find out!

  • 2 months since I got the rDNA - daily workhorse, can't fault it at all

might switch from the aerotank mega to something else though... anyone use this?

  • Nautilus is supposed to be very good. Worth a try I reckon!
