Ate tarmac on the commute today. Came up to a roundabout ready to turn right, had slowed but had just started to accelerate as I went to go. Unfortunately the road to the right is obscured by a dirty great bush/hedge, so just as I did a van appeared. It wasn't indicating but it was in the left lane, so I jammed on the brakes and did a lovely tailwhip before getting better acquainted with the road. A van driver behind asked if I was ok. Pride bruised but not much else, and wondering what I could have done better after a fairly conservative ride in greasy conditions up until that point. The tyres are very slick and I've got the back out a few times under heavy braking even in the dry.
