So ... had this frame sitting around for a while, waiting to get some parts for a good price.
It's from 1998 (http://www.somec.com/vintage/07_somec_1998_25.pdf) and that was the only year they were built.
That year was the 25th anniversary of Somec, so they made a few special frames.
Sadly they don't have any records left from back then so they could not tell me more about frame and serial number.
Frame itself is not really nos, but in very good condition. I think it was only built up as a show bike.
Last week I got a nice Campa Record 9s groupset. Perfect with bar-end shifters and big crankset ...
177,5mm 53/41 ... 10speed sticker, but close enough
120€ on Ebay.de ;)
Still have a nos 650c Shamal lying around, which is perfect for this project.
Still have to get headset, handlebars, stem, seatpost, saddle and a nice disc wheel.
