Ah, thanks. I would have been surprised if taxis hadn't been felt left out. :(

Round the corner from my house:
The passenger kicked off with the old bill and got nicked. You'd think the period after smashing a car into an old peoples' home was one for quiet reflection.
My local pub:
Emergency services at The Golden Star pub in Norwich after a car crashed through the windows.
And this classic:

This one qualifies only if you consider an Underground station entrance a building:

A theme emerging is the passive form in the reporting, all these cars flying into buildings with human involvement barely mentioned.

Fox and Hounds Barley
/csb The first time I ever drove a car I nearly did the same thing to this exact pub, ended up with my front wheels up the kerb and my dad looking a bit pale in the passenger seat.

It was one of my favourite pubs when I was a teenager.

Another one from Norwich, next door to the Golden Star pub above.
It's a straight road. What causes cars to crash into buildings at that point?

Slightly tangential to this thread but it's not always 'the cars' that are at fault. Many other things, both animate and inanimate choose to collide with them

You must be new here, or you would know that thread drift is never acceptable on this forum.

Why post it here?
-

Tangential won't do in this thread. It has to be a proper head-on collision with a building or it doesn't qualify. Oh ...

Follow-up story to the lorry story above:
Documenting a popular contemporary trend. Needless to say, cars generally crash into buildings all of their own accord, without any involvement of drivers.

This thread also includes lorries and buses crashing into bridges, as bridges are buildings.
