Limitless is a yuppie's idea of unlimited potential. Or an American's, the terms are interchangeable. So the brainiest man in the world makes money and runs for office and impresses his girlfriend by speaking Chinese to the waiter. It's shallow and trivial and acquisitive and materialistic.
